How long does a payment initiated on iBanFirst take to arrive at the recipient's bank account?

Cross-border payments can take anywhere from one minute to one week to settle. Regulatory and compliance checks, time zones, corridor maturity and payment cut-off times can all affect payment speed.

You can select your payment speed when creating a payment on the iBanFirst platform (depending on the beneficiary account, bank and destination country):

Instant: Payments between iBanFirst accounts are instantaneous (and free of charge!)

Standard: Payments are usually credited to the beneficiary's bank account within 2 to 3 business days.

Please note that payment speeds are not guaranteed.

With the iBanFirst Payment Tracker, you can view the send time, current status, which intermediary banks are involved, expected receipt time and reasons for any delays.

Yes, you can share tracking links with your beneficiaries to give them real-time insights into payment progress.

That way, you and your beneficiaries can easily access live updates on your payments, so you're both aware of any roadblocks or delays and don't need to worry about sending status updates.

Simply choose a payment and select "Proof of payment" on the details page. This will immediately download a pacs.008 file in XML format to your device.

No. You control who can initiate payments through customisable user permission rights. You can configure payment limits and multi-level approvals for different user roles, with granular access rights across different entities.
